Welfare Officer – Molly Smith

Hi, I’m Molly your Welfare Officer this year. I’m a third year Psychology student from St. Cuth’s. I am here to support you if you have any issues or worries that concern your welfare as an LGBT+ or questioning student. You can come to me if you’re feeling like you need someone to talk to about anything confidentially, and I will be here to listen and try to help in any way possible. I can also give you information and advice on accessing other services, such as college or university support, mental health, sexual health, local police, or anything of this nature. You can get in touch with me via the LGBT+a Durham welfare group on Facebook, via email on welfare@durhamlgbta.org.uk, come to my drop in sessions or just come find me and talk in person anytime. Chances are I will be at Osbournes every Monday! Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you feel it might help, any problem no matter how small is important if it is affecting you negatively.

I look forward to meeting you all soon, and hope to keep trying to make out LGBT+ community supportive and strong for each of it’s members.
